Why the Middle?
Thank you for spending time here with me, Lexy Thompson, I am honored that you are investing time in figuring out how to make the MIDDLE Work. Recently I have been re-learning the importance of the “middle” or core of the human body. (yes our gut!). This is much like Middle Managers, the stronger they are the healthier and more productive the organization they are a part of and of course the reverse is also true.
I have been receiving an influx of coaching requests from middle managers that are looking for ways to do more with less and motivate a lean disengaged team. As a result we will create this place where we can talk about the things you can’t at the office and we will work to find to solutions to what may seem impossible problems. I so believe that within a group we can find solutions that alone would never have presented themselves.
Strong Middle Manager Organizations
The goal is create a community that is focused on creating healthy, strong “middles” across many organizations. So, if you are ready to stretch and exercise your way to a healthier you, team and organization come on….that “gut” we all have is going to get stronger here!
Who am I?
This is always a perplexing question to answer for so many of us (me included) as the tendency is to list all the roles I play, i.e. Entrepreneur, Mother, Dreamer etc. So the first challenge as we move to being stronger “Middles” is to do the work of really identifying and articulating WHO we are. Not only the roles we play and school we attended. When we take the time to do this an amazing thing happens, we align our world to who we are an the world responds to our authenticity.
SO I AM: A Dreamer in Action (DiNA). It is my purpose to be place in which others see and experience their greatness.
NOW: This has become my True North. I work hard, and am not perfect, in being the WHO I am in all transactions with people I encounter. It gives me a place to true up to when I am not that.
So WHO ARE YOU?
I look forward to taking this journey of creating stronger “middles” and all the amazing side effects it will create for YOU, your team, your organizations and OUR World.
Thank you,
Lex
